What do you get when you wrap up these three E's . . . Exhaustion, Emotions, & Excitement?? My guess is life!! But that has been the last two weeks of getting ready for this trip . . . shopping, paperwork, laundry, packing, fixing RV issues, school, activities, sports, illnesses, goodbye lunches/dinners/sleepovers, birthday parties, rain, etc! That is truly life but it is extremely exaggerated because of the amount of time we will be gone. There has just been one little thing after another to make us extremely exhausted, staying up late to get it all done.
But then we have been truly blessed by so many wonderful friends to send us off with some wonderful gifts and treasures that I'm feeling emotional about leaving. We will miss so many of you all because you are such an wonderful part of our lives. I have teared up each time someone has given us something special to take with us. But the good news is that we aren't leaving permanently, we are coming back.
It all started with my Colonial America class that Shelley and I teach every week for Campus Day. Jamie & Krissi made us some adorable cookies for our send off and they made me cry they were so sweet!
America shaped states with all kinds of saying for us! |
Sunday morning goodies to go on the road!!
All of these goodies make us feel so loved and blessed, and is giving us the excitement we need to fight through the exhaustion!! Thank you God for such wonderful people in our lives
